He was born in Tallahassee, Florida on August 29, 1976 and was a chef at Sonny’s BBQ on North Monroe Street for several years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to cook.

He is survived by his father and mother, Luey Wayne and Kathy Diane Somerset; biological father and step-mother, David and Debbie Downs; brother and sister-in-law, Derek and Dorothy Somerset; nine nieces and nephews; as well as other extended family and friends. The graveside service is 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Tallahassee Memory Gardens, with visitation an hour prior to the funeral at Abbey Funeral Home.
