Obituary for Christopher Squareback Choate Marlow: Christopher “Squareback” Choate, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Marlow at the age of 62. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Joe Ligon and Rev. David Standifer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Chris was born Sunday, February 26, 1956 in Bakersfield, CA, to Troy F. and Joan Lee (Riley) Choate. He lived in the Marlow area most of his life and graduated with the Bray Class of 1974.

He married his lovely wife, Carolyn Kay Fine on July 19, 1974 in Bray. They had 44 wonderful years together. Chris put God first, then family and his family especially his grandchildren were his life.

He loved to golf and enjoyed most sports. He coached little league baseball and was a major supporter of the Outlaws. He enjoyed tinkering with all kinds of motors and was a perfectionist that could fix anything.

He loved to dance and sing. He enjoyed visiting with people. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and grilling.

Chris had a servants heart and was always looking for a way to help others. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marlow. Survivors include, his wife, Carolyn Kay Choate of the home, 2 sons, Chad Choate and wife Kara of Marlow, Casey Choate and wife Andrea of Oklahoma City, 7 grandchildren that were his world, Westan, Paris, Camron, Justin, Mason, Braeden, Maximus, his parents, Troy and Joan Choate of Marlow, 2 brothers, Randy Choate and wife Vicki of Elk Bend, ID, Greg Choate and wife Paula of Marlow.

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cy Choate and a very dear cousin, Doug Mealy. Pallbearers will be: Shawn Bateman, Bradon Blackburn, Sam Eiser, Russell Eiser, Danny Farmer, and Johnny Todd.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rudy Smith, Tim Bronson, Doug Schrock, Wesley Holt, Leslie Holt, Darren Woolwine, Joe Graham, Rick Ward, Rick Crutcher, Jimmy Rupp, Danny Mercer, and Travis Oretga.
