Obituary for Clair E. Calhoun Clair E. Calhoun, 79, of Silver Spring, Maryland, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 9th, 2018 at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital. He was born Wednesday, December 7th, 1938 at his family home in Monroe Township, a son of the late William B. Calhoun and Ethel M. (Richards) Calhoun. He is survived by three sisters; Margaret A. Buchanan of Newport News, Virginia, Lavenia M. Tilley of Silver Spring, Maryland, Lucinda A. Calhoun of Everett Three brothers; Edward B. Calhoun and wife Vera (Gummo) Calhoun of Gettysburg, Clifford Calhoun of Everett, Cleive W. Calhoun of Everett, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by two sisters-in-law, Rita Calhoun and Helen Calhoun, and two brothers-in-law, William “Buck” Buchanan, and Richard Tilley. Clair was a graduate of Everett Southern Joint High School, Class of 1957, and after graduation, enlisted in the United States Army, serving stateside in Arkansas between the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was then employed with Sears, Roebuck and Company in the Service and Repair Department, first making home repair visits and then refurbishing appliance returns for resale until retiring after 31 years of service.

An easygoing man who just enjoyed going for a walk, Clair also liked to visit Lancaster County fairs and events. He will be remember for being a dedicated son, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14th, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev.

Curtis Bryant officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www. dallavalle-everett.com.

Burial will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery.
