Clara’s Obituary Marion, VA Clara Osborne Atwell, age 76 passed away Monday January 28, 2019 at the Smyth County Community Hospital. Clara was born in West Virginia to the late Melvin Osborne and Nellie Taylor Osborne and was preceded in death by her husband Doug Atwell; her daughter Kimberly Atwell; brothers and sisters Daphna McCollum , David Osborne, Bill Osborne, Edith Snider, Sam Osborne, Patsy Osborne and her beloved friend, Dorothy Perkins. Clara worked at Harwood Manufacturing for several years and was a member of the Marion Church of God on Matson Drive.

Clara loved her sons, God and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mrs. Atwell leaves behind her two sons, Douglas Dean Atwell and wife Cheri, and Jeryl Atwell and wife Colleen; brothers and sisters, John Thomas Osborne and wife Janet, Mary Thompson Gayle Jackson, Glen Osborne and wife Rose, and Nellie Battaglia; grandchildren, Austin Atwell, Noah Atwell, and Bailey Atwell; one great grandson, Thomas Atwell; brother in law, Alan Jackson; special caregiver, Dana Jackson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Friday February 1, 2019 at the Bradley’s Funeral home in Marion with Pastor Mike Sage officiating.

Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, VA. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 – 1 PM prior to services. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.
