James Edward’s Obituary RICH VALLEY, VA James Edward Pruitt born November 29, 1930, passed away on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at his home in Saltville, VA. James is preceded in death by his parents Jack & Bessie Pruitt; son Randy Pruitt and wife Sherry; brothers Luther, Charlie, Joe, and Buck Pruitt; and sisters Louise, Betty, Pearl, and Mary. He served his country in the US Army, serving tours during the last of WWII, and the beginning of the Korean War.

James worked many years farming and in a sawmill. He is survived by his loving wife of 64years Donna Mae Pruitt of Rich Valley; four children Jackie Pruitt & wife Lisa of Rich Valley, Larry Pruitt & wife Judy of Marion, Tim Pruitt & wife Teresa of Damascus, and Danny Pruitt & companion Carla of Roanoke; grandchildren Danielle Davidson & husband Donnie, Kristie Hayes & husband Adam, Kimberly Armstrong & husband Steven, Heather Davis, Sonja Pruitt, Terri McBrayer & husband Jeremy,Tracy Belgado, Daniel Pruitt & wife Cheyenne, and John, Jackie, Caleb, & Angel Pruitt and their mother Jamie Gautier; brother Paul Pruitt & wife Mary Ann; 21great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday December 1, 2018 from the Bradley’s Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Pastor Mack Blevins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Ridgedale Cemetery in Rich Valley with full military honors rendered by the Francis Marion V.F.W. Post 4667. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00PM on Saturday at the funeral home chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.
