Christine Johnson’s Obituary CHILHOWIE, VA Christine Johnson Bowman age 73, passed away on Monday December 17, 2018 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. Christine was born in Smyth County on November 29, 1945. She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert Kelly & Edna Mae Johnson; her husband Roger Bowman; and daughter Barbara Bowman.

She loved her job and the people at Blue Ridge Job Corps, where she had been employed for the past 16 years. Christine has spent her life being a special angel helping and taking care of people. She was very family oriented and loved spending all the time she could with them.

She especially loved her little dogs. Survivors include her daughter Kelley Crusenberry & husband Stephen; grandchildren Katlinn Fletcher & husband Cody, Cory Hale & wife Lindsey, Alexius Hess, and Mark Edward Miller; great grandchildren Jordyn Fletcher & Jackson Hess, half-sisters Janet Furrow & husband Ralph and Diane Wright & husband Rock; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren , along with nieces, nephews, and other loving family also survive. Funeral services will be held at 8:00PM on Thursday December 20, 2018 from the Bradley’s Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with Pastor Jerry Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00PM on Thursday evening at the funeral chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM at Middle Fork Cemetery on Friday December 21, 2018. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.
