Austin’s Obituary Marion, VA Richard “Austin” Blevins, age 22, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the Smyth County Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Carol Blevins and his great-uncle Warren Sayers. Austin was born and raised in Marion, VA.

He graduated from Marion Senior High School in 2014, where he excelled in academics and golf. He was a senior at Radford University and in the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. In addition to his passion for golf, Austin was an amazing “corn-hole” player and loved the Tennessee VOLS.

Above all, Austin loved people. His infectious smile and outgoing personality could light up a room. He was an incredibly loyal friend, son, and grandson.

Survivors include his parents, Brian & Kay Blevins, of the home; grandfather, Richard Blevins, Churchill, TN; grandmother, Gerry Martin, Marion; grandmother, Odette Hoffman, Chilhowie; girlfriend, Lacey Day; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many, many friends also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Hopkins and Rev. Mike Sage officiating.

Entombment will follow at Mt. Rose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm & 6:00-8:00 pm, on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at the Freedom Tabernacle.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Austin’s memory to a charity of your choice. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www. bradleysfh.com.
