Gary Glenn’s Obituary Marion, VA Gary Glenn Carrico, age 64 passed away Tuesday February 26, 2019 at the Smyth County Community Hospital. Gary was preceded in death by his brother in law, Eddie Sheffield and a nephew, Justin Sheffield. Gary was totally adored by his parents and family.

He was so special to them. He loved listening to music and watching old TV game shows. Gary worked at the Mount Rogers IDC until he was no longer physically able.

He is survived by his parents, William G. “Bill” Carrico and Nancy Tuell Carrico; his sister Joyce Carrico Sheffield; nephew Dwayne Sheffield and wife Laura; niece Dana Hounshell and husband Mike; great nieces and nephews, Eric Sheffield, Jeri Sheffield, Ethan Hounshell, Mia Sheffield, Nicky Sheffield; caregivers, Carolyn Lamie, Michelle Fallon, Tosha West, Autumn Matney, Bridgett Anderson, Jamie McKinnon Spruill and a special family friend, Tony Richardson. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Friday March 1, 2019 at the Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:30 – 1:00 PM prior to services.

Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mount Rogers IDC, 255 George James Drive Wytheville, VA 24382. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.
