Elizabeth’s Obituary Atkins, VA Elizabeth Geraldine Turley, age 66 passed away Monday March 11, 2019 at the Heritage Hall in Clintwood, VA. She was born in Marion, VA to the late Víctor Howard Sawyers and Ellen Jane Havens Phillips and was preceded in death by her sister Martha Mae Sawyers. She worked at Merillat for over 26 years and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include, her children Kelly Gilbert and fiancée Jason Havens of Atkins, VA, Diane Williams of Atkins, VA; two brothers Randy Sawyers of Marion, VA, William “Billy” Shupe of Rich Valley, VA; four grandchildren Brittany Gilbert, Ricky Martin, Logan Gilbert, Jonathon Gilbert; longtime friend and coworker Randy Reedy. Graveside services will be held at 3pm Thursday March 14, 2019 at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Steve Hutton officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 – 3:00 prior to services at the funeral home.
