Sarah “Sunny”‘s Obituary Chilhowie, VA Sarah Heath “Sunny” Patrick, age 87 passed away Wednesday March 6, 2019 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. Sunny was born in Smyth County, VA to the late Barney Heath and Mattie Taylor Heath and was preceded in death by her husband John Edward Patrick; her son Ronald Eugene Patrick; three brothers Sam Heath, Barney Clay Heath and Donnie Heath; a sister Judy Bradley. She worked at Burlington Hosiery for 20 years and at Buster Brown for 30 years.

Sunny enjoyed reading, working in her yard and truly loved her grandchildren. She attended the Lebanon UMC for several years. Survivors include, four sisters Clattie Olinger, Chilhowie, VA, Ann Farris and husband Paul, Chilhowie, VA, Glenna Marion, Rural Retreat, VA, Susie Peake and husband Gary, Marion, VA; two brothers, Bill Heath and wife Linda, Chilhowie, VA, Danny Heath and wife Sissie, Saltville, VA; two grandchildren, Shannon Russell, Kristal Crouse; four great grandchildren, Trevor Long, Amber Jefferies, Adrianna Terrell, Angel Taylor; two great great grandchildren Tori Holman, Josey Blevins; daughter in law Ruth Patrick; sister in law Janice Heath; brother in law Cecil Bradley; special friend Audrey Powers; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 7PM Friday March 8, 2019 at the Bradley’s Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with Jerry Mays and Dakota Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 prior to services. Graveside services will be held at 11AM Saturday at the Crabtree Cemetery in Tannersville with Daniel Heath, Jr., Keith Heath, Larry McVey, Scott Olinger, Jason Olinger and Trevor Long serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00AM for the funeral procession. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Lebanon UMC. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.
