Ralph’s Obituary MARION, VA Ralph Pruitt, Sr. age 72, passed away on Sunday February 17, 2019 at his home in Marion, VA. Ralph was born in Rockville, MD to the late Charlie Pruitt and Glaytha Atwell Pruitt and was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Pruitt; his brother, Johnny Pruitt and his special pet Ally. Ralph was a lumber grader for many years having worked at Virginia House Furniture for over 42 years and Musser Saw Mill.

He was a member of the Lowman Valley Church. Ralph lived to hunt and fish, and was very passionate about sports. He coached Marion Rec.

league for several years and will be remembered for his winning style and records. Ralph is survived by his children, Irene Ely and husband Thomas of Pennington Gap, VA, Otis Pruitt, Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Jessie Pruitt of Marion, VA and Curtis Pruitt and wife Belinda of Marion, VA; grandchildren, Kendahl Pruitt, Luke Pruitt, Major Pruitt, Sarah Ely and Cash Pruitt; sister, Betty Faye Dalton; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 7PM Friday February 22, 2019 at the Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Thomas Ely, Pastor Michael Paul Hopkins and Pastor Steve Hutton officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 -7:00 PM prior to services. Graveside services will be held at 11AM Saturday at Rose Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Marion Rec Department Sports Program, 138 West Main Street Marion, VA 24354.
