Barbara’s Obituary Troutdale,VA Barbara Jean Anderson, age 71 passed away Monday January 7, 2019 at the Francis Marion Manor. Barbara was born in Grayson County, VA to the late Wade Reedy and Jessie Shumate Reedy. She was retired from the South Western Virginia State Hospital with 25 years of service and was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church where she truly loved attending services.

She was a loving wife, grandmother great grandmother who enjoyed gardening and her flowers. Survivors include, her husband of 52 years Dean Anderson; her son Michael Anderson and wife Lynn; grandchildren, Kristen Whisman and husband Tim, Brittany Anderson; great grandchild, Parker Whisman; special friends Rena Cheeks and Debbie Osborne. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Smyth County Community Hospital and Francis Marion Manor for the care given during this time.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday January 9, 2019 at the Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Tim Boyette and Pastor Bobby Cheeks officiating. Interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery in Rugby. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM prior to services.
