Stella’s Obituary Chilhowie, VA Stella McClure Schuler, age 88 passed away Saturday January 12, 2019 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. Mrs. Schuler was born in Chilhowie to the late George Washington McClure and Rosie Widener McClure and was preceded in death by her husband Willard Schuler; her son Donald Dean Schuler; her granddaughter Sandra Griffin; her grandsons Dennis Ray “DR” Schuler and Shane Roe; brothers William McClure, Roger McClure, Cecil McClure and her sister Elizabeth Dove Russell. She was a member of the Grosses Creek Baptist Church and had retired from General Dynamics after 40 years of service.

She loved gardening and was the hardest working woman you would ever meet. Survivors include her sons Dennis Schuler and wife Jackie of Chilhowie, VA and Daniel Schuler and companion Ann of Damascus, VA; daughter in law Lori Schuler; brother George McClure and wife Beulah; grandchildren Jennifer Schuler, Emily Schuler, Samantha Becker, Josh Roe, Nicki Kibler, Deanna Schuler, Kimberly Griffin, Brandon Griffin; great grandchildren Jade Schuler, Gavin Roe, Brooklyn Anderson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7PM Wednesday January 16, 2019 at the Grosses Creek Baptist Church with Pastor George Jessee officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM prior to services. Graveside services will be held at 11AM Thursday at the Grosses Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Grosses Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www. bradleysfh.com. Bradley’s Funeral Chapel of Chilhowie is serving the Schuler family.
