Carol Lyn’s Obituary Marion, VA Carol Lyn Thomason, age 76, passed away Thursday December 6, 2018 in Charlottesville, VA. Carol Lyn was born in Morgantown, WV to the late Carl Walker, Jr. and Adeline Rotunna Walker. She graduated from West Virginia University with a BS in education and remained a loyal Mountaineer fan all of her life.

Carol Lyn proudly called Marion her home for 41 years and was an active community volunteer as well as a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church. An avid reader, she could often be found on her back porch savoring a hot cup of coffee and a good book. Her fondest moments in life were spent creating special memories with family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Survivors include, her husband of 56 years Ron Thomason; her children, Carl Thomason and wife Dena of Chapel Hill, NC, Ron Thomason and wife Sandy of Oak Island, NC, Chad Thomason and wife Carla of Rock Hill, SC; and her grandchildren, Kendall, Claire, Annika, Eriko, Parker and Walker. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 6:00 — 8:00 PM at the Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the WVU Marching Band, WVU Band Office, 218-C Creative Arts Center P.O. Box 6111 Morgantown, WV 26506.
