Martha Emma’s Obituary CHILHOWIE, VA Martha Emma Nash age 88, passed away on Sunday January 13, 2019 at the Abingdon Health & Rehab in Abingdon, VA. Ms. Nash was born on August 26, 1930 to the late James & Dora Nash. She is also preceded in death by sisters Margaret Waddell, Ida Mae Nash, Reba Gambrill, & Desa Woods; and brothers Gilbert Nash, Frank Nash, and J.W. Parsons.

Martha grew up in Keystone, WV, and spent most of her adult life in the Washington D.C. area before moving to Chilhowie. She was retired from Saks Fifth Ave in Chevy Chase, MD. She is survived by nieces & nephews Elaine Herbert & husband William of Ashland, VA, Frank Nash, Jr. & wife Diana of Bluefield, WV, Howard Waddell & wife Amy of New Glarus, WI, and Jeff Nash & wife Deborah of Chilhowie, VA; along with her lifelong special friend Dawn Holtz of Rockville, MD.

The family would like to express a special Thanks to caretakers Eva Jackson, Gloria Sweat, & Charlotte Ball, and many Thanks to the personnel of Abingdon Health & Rehab for the excellent care she received. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Chilhowie with Pastor Dennis Eller officiating.
