Violet’s Obituary Marion, VA Violet Irene Lundy age 98, went home to Heaven to be with Jesus, her son Elmer, and all her saved loved ones on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Along with her parents Mac and Lessya King, she was preceded in death by her son, Elmer Lewis Lundy, and infant son Ronald Dean Lundy. Mrs Lundy was retired from the South Western Virginia State Hospital with 29 1/2 years of service.

She was a faithful member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church and truly loved her family. Survivors include granddaughter, Kathy (Dennis) Edmiston; grandsons, Mark (Barbara) Lundy, and Dean (Robin) Lundy, all of Marion. Also eight great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11Am Saturday January 12, 2019 at the Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Mark Lundy and Pastor Dean Lundy officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Project Crossroads or to Hospice of SWVA. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www. bradleysfh.com.
