Obituary for Clara Paige (Occhiuzzo) Clara Paige (nee Occhiuzzo), 89, a lifelong resident of Carlstadt, passed away on December 5, 2018. Before retiring 20 years ago, she was a sales associate at Macy’s in Paramus for 22 years. Clara was a member of the Christian Apostolic Church in Belleville and a volunteer for 32 years at the Goodwill Rescue Mission in Newark.
She was known to be a great baker, famous for her Christmas cookies and fruit cakes. Clara was a kind, compassionate Christian woman always willing to help those who were sick and in need. She loved Jesus first and then her family.
She simply was a wonderful mom, wife and grandma. Beloved wife of Michael Paige, Jr. Loving mother of Debra Kanwisher and Diane Haldick and her husband Ernest, predeceased by son-in-law Robert Kanwisher. Cherished grandmother of Stephen Ginetto and his wife Carrie, Nicholas Haldick, Nicole Haldick and great grandmother of Giovanni, Lucca and Lilliana.
Dear sister of Frank “Sonny” Occhiuzzo, Joel Occhiuzzo and Irene Terranova. A Funeral Service will be held at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 10:30 AM. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
