Clara R. Capaccio, age 92, passed away, July 18, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 11, 1926 to Martin and Josephine (Hylock) Pejza. She married the late Vito Capaccio on May 20, 1950 in Chicago.

Clara was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church for 60 years. She enjoyed being active in the church by running funeral luncheons and helping out when ever she could. She and her husband owned the Red Mill Restaurant from 1966 until 1976 and very much enjoyed the people there.

Clara loved making scrap books and photo albums celebrating her family’s journeys through life. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and just being around them gave her so much joy. Clara is survived by her children, Cathy Zimmerman, Bruce (Celia) Capaccio and Michael (Sandy) Capaccio; her grandchildren, Andy Klimczak, April Zimmerman, Anna Capaccio, Nicholas Capaccio and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son-in-law Hartzel Zimmerman and was the last remaining of her 13 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held Monday, July 23, 2018 from 10:00am until the 12:00pm Funeral Service at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave. Woodstock IL.

60098. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to JouneyCare 405 North Lake Zurich Rd.
