Cleo Ann Richardson-Short was born January 20, 1937 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin to Roland and Ruth Lillian (Shattuck) Young. She passed away, surrounded by her family, July 27, 2018 in Arkansas at the age of 81. Cleo finished a long banking career at FDIC.

Throughout Cleo’s life, she touched hearts of many with her joyful spirit and kindness. She was loved by everyone and loved them in return. Cleo was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Ruth Young; brother, Alan Young; sister, Carolyn Squire; first husband Wilton Richardson; son, David Richardson.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Donald Short, who loved her unconditionally; daughters, Debbie and her husband Kent Guthery, Denise and her husband Tom Kusnerik; sons, Louis Short, Krystin Short and Alvin Short; brother, Clayton Young and his wife Judy; sister, Vivian Colvin. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family present to receive visitors from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
