Colleen Citarella, a long time resident of Dobbs Ferry, passed away peacefully in Sleepy Hollow on February 27, 2019. She was 93. Colleen was born on November 13, 1925 to Louisa Welch (Scannell) and John DeNeef Welch in Yonkers, NY.

She was a graduate of Cabrini High School in upper Manhattan and The College of Mt St Vincent in Riverdale. She met Michael G. Citarella in the local soda shop, Liggets, in Washington Heights. They wed in 1951 and were married for 56 years.

She is survived by her 6 children, Peter (CO), Cathy (NY), Mary (NY), Paul (GA), Stephen (SC) and Suzanne(NY), her 12 grandchildren and her 2 great-grandchildren. Colleen was a mother , a homemaker and a long time member of Bethany Chapel in Yonkers. She volunteered 30+ years at Cabrini Nursing Home in DF.

Colleen was a gifted singer and a member of the her church choir.
