Colleen K. She was born September 27, 1938 to Dale and Opal (Pickering) Swartz on a farm south of Endicott. She was a lifelong resident of Endicott, and attended Endicott Public School from Kindergarten through her high school graduation in 1956.

She attended secretarial school in Omaha for one year. She was a lifelong member of The United Methodist Church in Endicott, where she was baptized and confirmed. She and Robert Grammer were united in marriage at the church on April 21, 1967.

Throughout the years Colleen was a waitress at the Bluebird Café, The Red Barn, and Rock Creek Station. She cleaned houses for several families in Fairbury; worked at J.M. McDonald’s clothing store; and worked several years at The Fairbury Journal News. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, sewing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by daughters Julie (Bill) Siefers, Plainville, KS, and Lana Rempel of Endicott, NE, grandsons Dain Zabokrtsky of Fairbury, NE and Zeb Rempel of Endicott, NE, great-grandsons Jerik Zabokrtsky and Caleb McKernan of Beatrice, NE, step-grandchildren Alicia Basgall (DJ) of Las Vegas, NV, Rebecca Clem (Brett) of Basehor, KS, Adam Siefers of Hays, KS, step-great-grandchildren Colton & Carlie Clem of Basehor, KS, brother Randy Swartz of Endicott, NE, sister LaVon Ashby of Laporte, CO, brothers-in-law LeRoy (Bonnie) Grammer of Omaha, NE, Terry (Jolene) Grammer of Fairbury, NE, Gail (Maryanne) Grammer of Council Bluffs, IA, George (Robyn) Grammer of Omaha, NE, sisters-in-law Cheryl Prescott of Fort Lupton, CO, Georgene Hoffman, San Antonio, TX, Carol Horner, Malmo, NE, Karen (Bill) Horner, Ceresco, NE, beloved dog, Lake, many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. She is preceded in death by husband, Bob, grandsons Derek Zabokrtsky and McKinley Rempel; parents Dale and Opal Swartz; sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Gene Kapperman and brother Roger Swartz. Services will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Endicott, NE.
