Colleen (Knepper) Sears, 68, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at her home surrounded by family . Colleen was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 10, 1950 to the late Charles and Dorothy M. (Mattingly) Knepper. She graduated from Memorial High School in 1968 and attended University of Southern Indiana.

Colleen loved her work as a Property Manager at Meadowood Apartments. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, flea markets and antique shops. Colleen is survived… Read More » by her husband of 28 years, David Sears of Newburgh, IN; son, Jeffrey Sears of Newburgh, IN; step sons, Kevin Sears of Evansville, IN, Darren Sears (Vanessa) of Sandy Springs GA; step daughter, Beth Ann Sears (Danny) of Boonville, IN; sisters, Lisa Farmer (Tony) of Evansville, IN, Patricia Widner (Bob) of Brownsburg, IN, Mary Knepper (Pat Dean) of Evansville, IN; brother, Dr. C. Michael Knepper (Lisa) of Terre Haute, IN; step grandchildren, Katelyn, Allison and Maverick; and several nieces and nephews.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gregory Knepper; and a niece, Ashley Widner. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11:00 AM until service time on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Chemo Buddies, 6521 Greencove, Evansville, IN 47715.
