Obituary for Ralph Owen Wilson Ralph Owen Wilson, II was born on April 28, 1929, in Cynthiana, Kentucky, to Florence Adair Hedges and Ralph Owen Wilson. By the time Ralph entered Bosse High School in 1943, he had attended nine public schools in the Midwest, as a result of the economic conditions affecting his father. As a result, Ralph enjoyed the stability and opportunity to make long-term friendships.

He attended Indiana University for two years, then followed his heart to University of Kentucky, graduating in 1951 with a degree in Geology. Ralph was inducted into the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in October, 1952, serving in basic training in Virginia. He then spent 18 months outside of Heidelberg, Germany, at the Intelligence Section.

Upon his return, Ralph was employed for several years as a petroleum geologist for two independent oil exploration companies in the tri-state, and subsequently, he started a consulting practice until his retirement in 2005. Ralph was an Eagle Scout, a member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 70 years, a member of the Scottish Rite and Hadi Temple for more than 50 years, and a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his daughters, Jean Adair Sailer (Scott) and their three children, Donald, Christine, and David; Sandra Lynn Crist (Allen) and their six children, Aubrey, Brittany, Tessa, Josh, Anna Grace, and Ben; Debra Ann Bianchini (Peter) and their three children, Jody, Daniel and Michael; Joan Marie Wilson Albrecht.

His surviving cousins, are Nina Lou Baird and Susan Caron. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, October 12, 2018, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. Visitation will continue Saturday, October 13, 10:00 am -11:00 am until the funeral services at 11:00 am with Rev.
