Vincent “Vince” Kent Lynxwiler, 77, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at his home. Vince was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 18, 1941. He honorably served in the United States Air Force.

Vince worked as a computer programmer for American General, Atlas Van Lines, PAR and retired from Keller Schroeder Associates. He was a former member of the Riverbend Association and enjoyed writing programs, crossword puzzles, dart leagues, bowling and reading. He loved spending time with his family and will be missed greatly. Vince is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda (Hamm) Lynxwiler of Evansville, IN; a son, John Lynxwiler of Evansville, IN; a step son, Jarod Willis of Petersburg, IN; nieces, Shawn Fullerton (Charlie) of Ft. Branch, IN, Kristy Phipps of Evansville, IN; nephew, Deric Phipps (Krista) of Greenwood, IN; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Vince was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry DeGroote; his mother, Lora (Schenk) Lynxwiler; his father, Harold Berger Lynxwiler and his wife, Tina; and his sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie Lynxwiler Phipps and Virgil. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM with the Retired Veterans Memorial Club performing military rites at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711.
