Gabriel “Gabe” Kobie, 42, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Gabe was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 23, 1975. He enjoyed tinkering, fishing, being outdoors, refurbishing old things and woodworking.

Gabe was a loving husband, father and brother who loved spending time with his family especially his children. Gabe is survived by his wife of 19 years, Kristian (Utley) Kobie of Evansville, IN; his son, Kody Kobie… Read More » of Evansville, IN; his daughter, Lilly Kobie of Evansville, IN; his father, Glenn Kobie and his wife, Gracie from Michigan; a brother, Zack Kobie from Evansville, IN; mother-in-law, Marnie Utley from Evansville, IN; sisters-in-law, Brandy Utley and Alicia Utley both from Evansville, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Gabe was preceded in death by his sons, Devon Kobie and Logan Kobie; and his mother, Terrie “Boobie” Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Bret Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
