OBITUARY Mary Whitfield December 26, 1935 – September 30, 2018 Mary Whitfield, 82, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018. She retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after 32 years of employment. She enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Marjorie Walters and brothers, Stanley, Eric and Bill Walters all of Newfoundland, Canada. Mary is survived by her husband of 40 years, Russell Whitfield, brother, George and sisters, Kay, Marge, Winnifred, Florence and Cecily; daughters, Jona Witherspoon, Rene Anderson (Scott), Melissa Baehl (Roger) and LaVonne Dilllman (Tom); son, Michael Roark; stepson, Randy Whitfield; grandkids, Kelly, Nick, Lee, Kassie, Tyler, Turner, Corie, Kari and Mike and great-grandkids, Amiya, Alayna, Archer, Matthew, Luke and Camden . A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, October 8, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Friends may visit 2:00 to 6:00PM Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. (www.
