Robert “Bob” E. Hansing, 73, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. Bob was born in Linton, Indiana on November 5, 1944 to the late Robert E. and Francis (Craft) Hansing. He honorably served in the United States Marines.

After his service, Bob began his career as an installer with Indiana Bell and later became a computer programmer. Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vickie (Chinn) Hansing of Evansville, IN; daughter, Amy Scott (Mario) of Newburgh, IN; sons, Thomas “Tom” Hansing (Rica) of Indianapolis, IN and Robert “Rob” Hansing (Jessica) of Charlestown, WV; brother, William C. Hansing (Debbie) of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Bailey Hansing, Emma Hansing, Morgan Hansing, Jordan Scott, Jayden Scott and Robert Hansing; special nieces and nephews; and by his dogs, Buster and Clyde. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and by sister, Susan K. Mayberry. Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave.

, Evansville, IN 47711 with Fr. Paul Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 12:30 PM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
