On Sunday, September 30, 2018, Frank R. Komar passed away at the age of 76. Frank was born on August 16, 1942 in East Chicago, Indiana to Frank and Martha Komar. He graduated from Indiana University in 1967 and obtained his Certified Public Accountant License in 1973.

Frank practiced accounting for 40 years in Evansville. On June 11, 1977, he married Jane Louise Lasher. They raised two sons, Frank and Chris, who both reside in Evansville.

Frank had a passion for aviation and was an avid amateur pilot for much of his adult life. He enjoyed restoring classic automobiles and was always happy to share his collection. Frank was well known as a local accountant and built a successful tax and accounting practice.

He will be remembered by his clients for this sound advice, direct manner, and thoughtful representation. He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. Frank is survived by his wife, Jane; his two children, Frank (Elizabeth) and Chris (Meghan); his grandchildren, Frances, Mila, and Kellen; his brothers, Ron, Richard, and Jim; and his sister, Mary Ann.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank; his mother, Martha; and his sister, Marcia. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Church of God of Prophecy at 2209 South Green River Road, Evansville with Pastor Bill Gaddis officiating. Burial will be Private.

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville and from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Church of God of Prophecy.
