Obituary for Tom W. Utley Tom W. “Tuffy” Utley, 58, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital with his wife Jo by his side. Tom was born April 7, 1960 in Henderson, KY to the late George D. and Elsie Lucille (Fenwick) Utley. He was a true husband, father, brother and Papaw to his grandchildren who made him smile or laugh every day.

He loved to brag about them and how precious they were to him. They were one of the passions in his life. Tom was an inspiration to his children, Brad, Josh and Jenny.

He was most proud of the people that they had become in the life of hard knocks. Tom loved to travel with his wife and his best buddy, Reggie. As he fought his courageous battle with cancer, Tom could be seen with Reggie make their daily drive.

Never did he complain about his battle with cancer. He took the hand that was dealt to him and fought the good fight. Tom was a graduate of Mt.

Vernon Senior High School and worked for ADM Milling Company until the day of his diagnosis. He was a longtime member of Eagles 1717 in Mt. Vernon.

His passions were his family, his many long ATV rides with his wife and of course, his red Corvette that he kept shining like a diamond. Surviving Tom and his wife and love of his life for 22 years, Jo (Cashen) Utley; children, Brad (Melissa) Utley, Christopher Utley, Jennifer (Eric) Hagan and Josh Woodring; brothers, George Utley, Jr. and Rick Utley; grandchildren, Blake, Noah, Jaxson, Levi and Hannah Jo; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Betty Cashen, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jill and Dan Turpen; brother-in-law, Bob Cashen; many nieces and nephews and an army of friends. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Boyd.

Funeral services for Tom will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Pierre Funeral Home, Pastor Scott Cassel officiating. Burial will follow in Tupman Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
