Wanda Lee (Hallinan) Robinson, 88, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Linda E. White Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Wanda was born in Evansville, Indiana, on October 23, 1930 to the late John B and Mabel (Humphrey) Hallinan. She was a graduate of Lockyear’s Business College.

She and Willard (Robby) Robinson were married in 1950 and soon decided to move their growing family to a small farm in the heart of St. Joseph, Vanderburgh County,… Read More » Indiana. Wanda was kind, curious, generous and always ready for a joke even if the joke was on her. She made lifelong friends wherever she lived and worked.

Wanda was creative and designed, sewed and quilted many formal and informal outfits and blankets for her children and grandchildren. Wanda loved gardening and canning and was also the best cook and pastry maker, not only for her family but at restaurants. She and Robby owned and operated The Hilltop Inn on Evansville’s West Side and Robby’s Barge Restaurant at Inland Marina.

Following Robby’s death in 1976, Wanda went into furniture sales and worked many years at L.B. Jones and Lazy Boy before retiring at the age of 75. Her beautiful smile and kind heart will be missed by all who loved her dearly. Wanda is survived by her children, Michael W. Robinson of Evansville, IN, David K. Robinson (Darlene) of Evansville, IN, Daniel L Robinson (Lisa), of Evansville, IN, Kathy Cain (Jeff) of Cincinnati, OH, Susan Hamela (Shawn) of Evansville, IN, Mary Beth Will (Larry) of Evansville, IN, JoAnna Goebel (Rick) of Evansville, IN, and Kristina Luttrell (Wayne) of Evansville, IN.

She is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Robby” Robinson; her parents; and siblings, Muriel Luigs, Melvin “Peck” Hallinan and Harold “Bud” Hallinan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave.

, Evansville, IN 47711 with Deacon Tom Goebel officiating. Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday.
