Helen Ernestine (Reed) Deeg, 95, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Heritage Center. Helen was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 3, 1923 to the late Morris and Margaret (Keller) Reed. She was a graduate of Bosse High School.

Helen loved children and children loved being around her. She was a people person and spoke kindly of everyone she ever met. She enjoyed living in Florida during the winter for the last 40 years and spending the summers in Evansville.

Helen… Read More » is survived by her sons, Pastor Michael Deeg (Holly), Jim Deeg (Rosemary) and Bill Deeg (Mary Lou); a brother, Michael Reed; grandchildren, Ryan Deeg (Melissa), Abbey Carr (Neil), Laura Mackey (Brett), Rachel Deeg and other grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer O. Deeg in 1977; by her son, John Deeg; by her parents; and by her brother, Kenneth. A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at The Gathering Place on the Browning Funeral Home Campus, 738 Diamond Ave.

, Evansville, IN 47711. She will be buried at Park Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit from 5:00 PM until service time at The Gathering Place on Tuesday.
