OBITUARY Marlene Yocum January 29, 1930 – November 19, 2018 Marlene (Muth) Yocum January 29, 1938 – November 19, 2018. Marlene Muth Yocum, age 80, died on Monday November 19, 2018. She was born in Evansville to Herbert and Catherine (Frank) Muth.

After graduating from Reitz High School, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University where she met and married her husband, Joseph A. Yocum. She loved music of all kinds, and played the Cello for the Evansville Philharmonic in the 1950’s. In the last 10 years of her life she became a devotee of Hot Yoga, and was an inspiration to students and instructors alike.

She was a lover of dogs and known for delivery of dog biscuits throughout the neighborhood on her daily walks with her two large Labradors. She was proceeded in death by her husband Joseph, son Marc and sister, Jeannine. She is survived by her son Eric J. Yocum, his wife, Tracy Wiseman, her granddaughter Elizabeth J. Yocum, sisters Adrienne Boyd and Shelley Faulkner and brother Randy Muth.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit Friday, 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh County Humane Society.
