Obituary for Delores R. Raymond Delores R. (Denninger) Raymond, 92, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Delores was born March 14, 1926 in Evansville to the late Frank and Rose (Ochsner) Denninger. She had worked for Old National Bank after graduating from Reitz High School.

She later worked for General Tire and Rubber for 27 years before retiring in 1993. She was a former member and treasurer of United Rubber Workers Local 730; was active in the PTA at Columbia Grade School, serving as the PTA president for a number of years. Delores was also an animal lover; enjoyed sewing, making quilts, crafting and working in the yard with her flowers.

Surviving Delores are five daughters, Yolanda Sowders, Karen (Dennis) Raider, Pamela Blackburn, Cheryl (Tim) Schurmeier and Denise (Jerry) Clements; grandchildren, Brian (Lisa) Foronda, Justin (Jill) Woodall, Nikki Blackburn, Melissa (Eli) Liddle, Kimberly (Don) Stallings, Mark (Shanna) Schurmeier, Kelsey Schurmeier, Rylei Clements and Karlei Clements; five great grandchildren, Derrick Foronda, Clint Woodall, Miles Stallings, Ayden Schurmeier and Addysen Schurmeier and three great great grandchildren, Alaina Truitt, Zaiden Foronda and Isabel Foronda. In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her special sons-in-law, Paul L. Sowders, Andy Blackburn and by her beloved cat, Sammy, who passed just a few days before her. Funeral services for Delores will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Pierre Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until service time on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street. Delores’ family would like to thank the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice for their very kind, loving and compassionate care.
