Obituary for Calvin L. Baker Jr Calvin L. Baker, Jr., 78, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at his residence. He was born August 8, 1940 in Vanderburgh County to the late Marjorie (Koeing) and Calvin L. Baker, Sr. Calvin worked in Masonry for over 50 years and at Whirlpool. He was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist in Owensboro, KY.

He enjoyed racing motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. Calvin was an avid gamer. Calvin is survived by his wife, Effie Baker; children, Brenda Spells of Newburgh, Jay Dee (April) Baker of Newburgh, and Ronald Baker of Boonville; grandchildren, Christopher J. Sauter, Dylan L. (Mary-Lynn) Spells, Hope Ann Baker, Kyleigh R. Wilson, Morgan Michelle Baker, and Clint Jonathon Baker; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Baker, John (Doreatha) Baker, and Robert Baker; sister, Marjorie Ann Smith; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Ray Baker. Visitation will be 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday, November 16, 2018 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. , Evansville.

A funeral service will begin at 10:00 am Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Denny Campbell officiating. Burial will be at Midway Cemetery in Spencer County. Condolences may be made online at www.
