Obituary for Marian P. Jackson Marian Proudy Jackson, 89, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Golden Living Center-Woodlands. She was born March 10, 1929 in Evansville to the late Jerry and Lottie (Wagner) Proudy. Marian graduated from Lincoln High School in 1947.

In her early years, she worked at Kaiser’s Fashions and for St. Mary’s Hospital. She devoted much of her life to being a wife, mother and homemaker. As a teen and young adult, she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Marian later joined Grace Lutheran Church (now Grace and Peace Lutheran Church), where, during her time as a member, she served as the Church Financial Secretary and as a member of the Semper Fidelis Circle. She was a founding member of the Lincoln-Clark-Douglas Reunion Committee. Marian is survived by her husband of 69 years, Eugene Jackson; sons, Paul (Taeko) Jackson of Evansville and Patrick (Patricia) Jackson of Newburgh; Grandchildren, Aika Jackson and Tyoshi Jackson of Evansville, and Ian Jackson, Marisa Jackson and Maurice Washington (Suzette) and great grandchildren, Chrislyn Robinson and Ingrid Washington all of Los Angeles, CA.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her stepfather, Jesse Warfield; sister Rosalie Bronaugh; brother-in-law, Richard Bronaugh, Sr.; and nephews, Richard Bronaugh, Jr. and Robert Bronaugh. Visitation will be 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. , Evansville.

Funeral will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Rod Hoschouer officiating. Entombment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center, Hearth to Heart Hospice and the Neuroscience Hospital at Deaconess Gateway Medical Campus.
