Frances June (Reinhart) Apfelstadt, 91, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Bethel Manor. June was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 30, 1927 to the late Irvin and Bessie (Irvin) Reinhart. She graduated from Central High School, 1945, where she met Charles Apfelstadt, her lifetime sweetheart and husband of 54 years.

June worked in the office at Modern Office Methods and Midwest System. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church and the All City… Read More » Bible Class. She was a volunteer Pink Lady at Deaconess Hospital and the Red Cross.

June and her husband, Charlie helped start the Friday Night Dance Club, with the Turners dance friends, after Turners Club closed. They had a lot of fun times at Turners and Friday Night Dance Club with their friends. She also sang in church choirs for many years.

June received her love of music from her father, Irvin A. Reinhart, that was a well known, local musician in Evansville. June is survived by her son, Alan Apfelstadt (Fran); her daughter, Kim McCluskey (Chris); grandchildren, Karen Tidd and Nicole Neidlinger (J.R.); great grandchildren, Chyane Wood, Maddie and Brody Neidlinger all of Evansville, IN June was preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Charles “Charlie” H. Apfelstadt in 1999; a grandson, Robert Charles McCluskey, USMC in 2007; her brothers, Jack and Jerry Reinhart; and by her parents. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave.

, Evansville, IN 47711 followed by a private memorial service after the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville, 700 Bellemeade Ave. , Evansville, IN 47713.
