Sgt. Drew Richardson Watters, 23, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 in Tacoma, Washington. Drew was born in Evansville, Indiana on November 15, 1994 to Scott Richardson and Karen Marie (Wannemuehler) Watters.

He graduated from North High School in 2013 and attended USI and IUPUI before enlisting in the United States Army in 2015. He attended basic training at Ft. Benning, Georgia.

He married his high school sweetheart, Carley on July 15, 2017 at the Indiana Historical Society in Indianapolis. Drew was a proud Hoosier and loved his golden retriever, Kipp.

His greatest joy came from his family, especially his son, Jack. Drew is survived by his wife, Carley Elizabeth (Lombard) Watters and their two month old son, Jack Richardson Watters; his parents; sisters, Colleen Watters and Ellen Watters; and grandparents, Harve Watters and Elizabeth Wannemuehler. Drew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nancy Watters and Ronald Wannemuehler.

A celebration of Drew’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Rd. , Evansville, IN 47725 with Pastor Nathan Hazel officiating. Military honors will be performed by the United States Army.

Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Christian Fellowship Church and again from 12:00 Noon until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund that has been set up for Drew’s son, Jack.
