OBITUARY Kathryn Ruedlinger Reine November 23, 1927 – November 6, 2018 Kathryn Ruedlinger Reine, known to her family and friends as “Kotsy” or “Katie” passed away peacefully on November 6, surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 23, 1927 in Evansville, IN to Edna and Joel Palmer. She was blessed to have grown up in a big family with her many brothers and sisters.

She graduated from F.J. Reitz high school where she met and then married her high school sweetheart, George Ruedlinger, who preceded her in death in 1989. She then met and married her second love, John Reine in 2004. Kathryn was very devoted to her church, her family and friends.

She was a member of Zoar United Church of Christ. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She also enjoyed going on trips with family, antiquing, and her daily walks outdoors.

She will be remembered for her kindness to anyone she met, her infectious smile, playful spirit and cute sense of humor. Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband George Ruedlinger, sisters Mary Lou Palmer, Betty Jo Eaton, June Castiglione, brothers Raymond “Bud” Palmer and Ronnie Palmer, step-daughter Anna Jean Smith, and two infant grandsons.

She is survived by her husband John Reine, four children, Mike Ruedlinger, Nancy Soelter (Eric), Sally Kraus (Bruce), and Linda Frank (Patrick), her step-children Lois Williams (Ron) and Diane Berger (Lee), her sister Charlotte Darden (Dave), brothers Larry Palmer (Phyllis) and Donald Palmer (Mary Ann), many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Rev. Art Christmas, with entombment to follow at Alexander Memorial Park.

Friends and family may visit 4-7 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Alexander West Chapel and Friday 11a. m until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at www.
