Irene (Trombley) Dwyer, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her girls. Irene was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 29, 1930 to the late Roy and Geneva (Coyle) Trombley. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church for almost 50 years and a member of the Alter Society and Quilting Group.

Irene is survived by her daughters, Cathlin Gray (David), Lynda Branson (Brent), Jackie Dwyer, Maureen Ungethiem (Jeff), Ellen Massie (Mike), Karen Kane (Mike) and Missy Dwyer (Hank); sister, Marilyn Bisby; 23 grandchildren; and by 22 great-grandchildren.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack Dwyer; daughter, Laura Nussmeier, her parents; sister, Marie Michels; brothers, Roy Trombley and Patrick Trombley; and by grandchildren, Eric Ungethiem and Michael Nussmeier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, 12300 S. 50 W., Haubstadt, IN 47639 with Fr. Kenneth Betz officiating.

Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Harrison, Dr. Andrew Piering, Patti and staff, the late Dr. Christopher Haughn, St. Vincent’s Rehabilitation, Jamie with Deaconess VNA Hospice and Fr. Kenneth Betz for all the care and compassion shown to Irene.
