Mrs. Ruby M. Travelstead, age 82 of Franklin, KY, passed away at 7:52 AM Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Franklin-Simpson Nursing & Rehab Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2018 with burial to follow in the McKendree Chapel Church Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY. Ruby was born April 19, 1936 in Logan Co., KY to the late Millard Harden and the late Mamie Overstreet Harden.

She was the wife of the late Billy Lee Travelstead. She was preceded in death by a sister Mary Hibdon. She is survived by her son Scott Whitaker (Stephanie) of Auburn, KY, 2 grandchildren Kelsie and Kaleb Whitaker and a brother James harden of Franklin, KY.

Ruby was a member of the Locust Grove Church of Christ and was retired from Potter & Brumfield Manufacturing. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time Friday, November 16, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.
