Edith Fern (Zimmerman) Vibbert, 94, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Edith was born in Stateline, Indiana on January 28, 1924 to the late Floyd W. and Faye (Edwards) Zimmerman. She was a homemaker and caregiver who managed the household while her husband, Harry “Buck” was a traveling evangelist.

Edith was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God and had served on their board of elders. She also served on the Jacobsville Neighborhood Board. Edith is survived by her son, Alan Travis Vibbert of Evansville, IN; sister, Mary Ann Kist of Danville, IL; brothers, John Zimmerman (Margo) of Danville, IL, Earl D Zimmerman (Wyatt) of Danville, IL, and Raymond Zimmerman (Norma) of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Evelyn McDowell of Cicero, IN; special friends, Charlie and Beverly Aubrey; and by her kitty cat, Punkin.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Harry “Buck” V. Vibbert in 1999; daughter, Farilyn Ann Vibbert in 1956; her parents; and by brothers, Don Zimmerman, Gene Zimmerman and Richard Zimmerman. A celebration of Edith’s life will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave.

, Evansville, IN 47711 with Rev. Greg Hitchcock officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the missionaries at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 5050 N. First Ave. , Evansville, IN 47710.
