Obituary for Joshua John Richardson On Saturday, November 24, 2018, Joshua John Richardson, devoted husband and friend, passed away at age 29 of a cerebral bleed. Joshua was born on November 4, 1989 in Battle Creek, MI to John and Amy Richardson. He graduated from Lumen Christi Catholic School in 2008.

He received his Associate’s Degree in Business from Jackson Community College in 2010 and continued on to study at Central Michigan University where he met Sarah. Josh and Sarah were married on August 17, 2013 and built their life together in Evansville, IN where Josh worked for Toyota. Joshua was full of life and always putting a smile on people’s face.

He made friends wherever he went with his quick wit and love of life. Josh and Sarah shared a love of all things Disney and Josh was a Star Wars fanatic. He was the biggest fan of a team of young girls on a softball field, where he supported them and his wife who coached their team.

It was normal to see him at the field in a care bear costume, a storm trooper hat, or a unicorn headband to cheer up the girls and put a smile on everyone’s face. Joshua is survived by his wife Sarah, parents Amy (Parker) Richardson and John & Shelly Richardson, brother, Luke and numerous aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his in-laws Smith and Teresa Patterson, and sisters-in-law, Samantha (Patterson) Gates and Sally Patterson.

A celebration of life party will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at “The Barn” located at the Marx residence at 6011 N. Bethe Ln, Elberfeld, IN from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund for softball players, set up through GoFundMe under the title “Josh Richardson Scholarship Fund”. “You can’t stop the change, any more than you can stop the suns from setting” -Shmi Skywalker Arrangements are being handled by Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel.
