OBITUARY Robert Charles Dimmett Jr. March 24, 1946 – October 3, 2018 Robert Charles Dimmett, Jr., 72, of Evansville, IN passed way Wednesday, October 3, 2018. He was born on March 24, 1946 to the late Pearl and Robert Dimmett, Sr., in Henderson, KY. Robert retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 23 years.

After retirement he worked for Escalade Sports for 10 years, and SRG for 5 years. Earlier in life he enjoyed competing in body building and weightlifting. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Dimmett; and son, Robert Dimmett.

Robert is survived by his sons, Tim Dimmett (Michelle), Steve Burns (Susan), Terry Dimmett, Jerry Dimmett (Amanda), and James Dimmett; daughter, April Norvell (Bryce); sister, Vicki Overfield; brothers, Jim and John Brown; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. William Heard.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
