Obituary for Mr. Terrance Eugene Bankhead Terrance (Terry) Eugene Bankhead aka “Bank” 53 of Evansville, IN transitioned from this life Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. Terry was born January 11, 1965 in Danville, IL and attended Danville High School. Terry had various jobs his most recent was working as a security guard.

Terry was a passionate sports fan, he played little league growing up to later go on to coach little league football and baseball. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Terry had a funny sense of humor, he was known for telling jokes and making people laugh.

In addition to Terry being witty and full of life, he loved meeting people and making new friends. He would always use the phrase, “There’s no such thing as strangers, only friends I haven’t yet met”. He leaves to cherish his loving memory one daughter, Tara Bankhead of Champaign, IL and three grandchildren, Sarai, Keziah and Zion.

His sisters; Veronica (James) Petty, Danville, IL. , Trina (Ronald) Walker, Loganville, GA. , George Jerome Bankhead, Danville, IL.

, Evelyn Walls, Danville, IL. , Laura (Terry) Davis, Ruffin, NC. , John (Montrice) Walls, Gainesville, GA.

, Elvin Walls, Fairburn, GA. , Pamela Walls, Danville, IL. His beloved nieces and nephews; Preston, Kameron, Juan’e, Chelsea and Ariyal.

He also leaves cherished memories to his special aunt Clara Johnson and a very special friend Sophia Suber of Columbia, SC. Terry was proceeded in death by his parents Dorothy and George Bankhead, Elvin “Hoss” Walls, his special aunt Eva Luster and his brother/friend Darrin “Wiz” Pittman. Within his journey of life Terrance touched the hearts of many.

He created a lifetime bond with childhood friends known to him as brothers and a sister from another mother; Kent Lewis, Lewis Dixon, William Knox and Joyce Tucker-Ware. Also, his special brother-in-law/friend Ronald Walker that treasured their relationship. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 East Williams St, Danville, IL.
