Obituary for Matthew “Butchie” Cosby Matthew “Butchie” Cosby, age 64, was born to Mary Alice Ervin and the late Afie D. Cosby in Henderson, Kentucky. He departed this life on October 6, 2018 at Community Methodist Hospital. He was preceded in death by fathers, A.D. Cosby and James Carter Ervin; three sisters, Jamie “Muffie” Tyler, Paula Cosby, and Karen Cosby; and one brother, Dudley Wayne Cosby.

“Butchie” leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Carmaletta (James) Stephens; seven sisters: Barbara (Moe) Goffner, Yvonne Armstead, Connie Marshall, Jennifer Stott, Fannie Collins, Janice (Earl) Jackson and Willie Ruby; four brothers: Richard McGuire, Bruce Marshall, Anthony Cosby, and Kevin Cosby; two grandchildren: Donavon and Olivia Stephens; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00pm at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Henderson, Ky with same day visitation from 11:00am until service time also at the church.
