Harold Edward Istwan, 88, of Crawfordsville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at his home. Harold was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 1, 1930 to the late Adolf and Clara (Ehlke) Istwan. He retired from American General in 1995 where he was a computer analyst.

Harold was active with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with his family. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Maxine (Niebrugge) Istwan in 2001; and his parents. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Chad Eckels officiating.

Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 100 E. Michigan St., Evansville, IN 47711.
