Mr. J.C. Coker, age 88, of Franklin, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Signature Health Care Facility in Bowling Green, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

J.C. was born April 3, 1930 in Simpson Co., KY. to the late Johnnie Sam Coker and the late Adie Lena Settle Coker. He was the husband of the late Anna Rose Richardson Coker.

Four sisters Mayme Ruth Rudbeck, Bessie Reed Johnson, Lillian Williams and Kathleen Jones and a brother James Douglas Coker, preceded him in death. He is survived by his son John Coker (Laura) of Bowling Green, KY, 3 grandchildren Nicole Dodge (Sam), Tres Coker (Brookelyn) and Megan Coker, 4 great grandchildren Davin and Dexter Dodge and Luna and Atlas Coker and a sister Lula Graves of Franklin, KY. Mr. Coker was a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School and retired mechanic at Massey Motor Company.

He was a Korean Army Veteran. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:45 PM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Associations Online condolences may be made at www.
