Connie’s Obituary Services honoring and remembering the life of Connie Jo Rousselo will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 19, 2019, in the Chapel at Rice Funeral Home in Claremore, Oklahoma. The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm Monday, February 18, 2019 at Rice Funeral home. Connie passed away Thursday morning, February 14, 2019 in her home.

Connie was 66 years old. She was born on June 11, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas. Connie was the daughter of Firl Loren Newson and Sylvia May Newson (Hess).

Connie married Vester Alexander Gillette and together they had two children, Kathern Jo Larson and Vester Albert Gillette. Connie and Vester later divorced. Connie remarried in 1983 to Harold “Joe” Rousselo.

Joe brought 2 additional children into their marriage, Michael Rousselo and Jennifer Rousselo. Connie and Joe moved to Oklahoma in 1992. Connie worked as a Supervisor for Claremore Hospital in the housekeeping department and later as an office assistant for a doctor’s office, until she retired in 2013.

Connie had a very strong love for animals, especially her dogs. She loved to decorate her home in butterflies and angels. She was a collector and loved a good bargain.

Connie leaves behind her husband of 36 years, 2 children, 2 step children, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and one brother. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to donate, please give a donation to Parkinson’s research. Please contact Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma.
