Obituary for Corana L. Culver Corana L. Culver, 84, of Aurora, died on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Westfield Community Care in Aurora. Funeral services will be on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Pastor Bruce Bradley officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 15th from 5-7 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City.

Interment will be held at the Central City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www. soltwagnerfuneral.com.

Corana was born on December 10, 1933 to Ellsworth and Grace (Sprau) Wimer in Glendale, Arizona. Corana graduated from Grossmont High School in San Diego, CA. While in high school she met Don Culver while he was serving his country in the United States Navy.

They would get married on September 23, 1950 in Spring Valley, CA. When Don was honorably discharged in 1952, they would move to the Central City area. While living in the Central City area, Corana worked for East Gate Truck Stop, Phil Bolling, and as a bookkeeper for NAPA.

In 1972 Don and Corana moved to Shickley for a short period of time, before returning to Marquette in 1979. She then began working in the deli department at K-Mart in Grand Island where she worked until her retirement in the late 1980’s. Corana was an active member of the United Presbyterian Church in Central City as well as the Federated Church in Aurora.

She was an active woman, who enjoyed travelling with Don after their retirement. She was also very involved in the Aurora Women’s Club and acting in the Community Plays in Grand Island. Playing cards and knitting were a couple of her favorite hobbies as well.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband; Don of Aurora, her children; Bill and Sandy Culver of Phoenix, AZ, John and Cheryl Culver of Milford, NE, Don Culver of Manhattan, KS, JoAnn and Roger Carlson of Shickley, NE, Tom and Mary Culver of Lake Havasu, AZ and Kathy and Brian Vossler of Wilber, NE as well as eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son; David Ray Culver, and her brother; George Wimer. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Corana L.
