Cornelia A. Arnold Cornelia A. Arnold, 64, of Geneseo, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society – Geneseo Village, surrounded by her family after her courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018, at Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Geneseo Humane Society. Cornelia was born on October 14, 1953, the daughter of Frank and Madeline (Lloyd) Brand, in Moline, Illinois.

She graduated from United Township High School with the class of 1971. She was united in marriage to Vincent C. Arnold on November 6, 1971, in East Moline. Vincent preceded her in death in 2012.

Cornelia retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier after 32 years of service, in October of 2017. She enjoyed driving through the country side and enjoying the views while she worked. Cornelia loved going to garage sales and watching the QVC shows.

Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Rahmus, of Geneseo; grandchildren, Brian (Sawyer) Rahmus, and Chelsea Rahmus; and great-grandchildren, Remington, Hayden, and Adalynn. Cornelia is also survived by her brothers, Robert (Karen) Bowling, of Moline, and James (Joyce) Bowling, of Moline; sisters, Debbie Brooks, of Geneseo, and Linda (Steve) Montecino, of Colona; and sisters-in-law, Becky (Rob) Hurless, of Prophetstown, and Debbie (Harold) Long, of Estherville, IA.

Cornelia was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Madeline; husband, Vincent; three sisters, Jackie Moore, Donna Crull, and Billie Brown.
